We study the ecology and evolution of natural populations facing environmental change.

Projects in the lab span a range of questions in evolutionary biology, population ecology, and community ecology, but tend to focus on some common themes:

  • Population persistence and species distributions under climate change
  • Shifting flowering phenology and plant-pollinator interactions
  • The ecology and evolution of small or fragmented populations
  • The roles of local adaptation vs. phenotypic plasticity
  • Stability of ecological systems in fluctuating environments
